The 30 Day Resident Evil Challenge - Day 26

Q: Leon or Chris?

A: LEON, OBVIOUSLY.

-----

I love Chris for many different reasons, and I certainly think that he is one of the best male Resident Evil characters that the universe has to offer. But Chris can never get in the way of my life long crush on Leon. I'm choosing Leon subjectively based upon my personal biased and favoritism. I'm not here to argue over who's better when it comes to game appearances, story lines, skills, character, etc because they are both fantastic and those subjects are on a completely different realm!

The 30 Day Resident Evil Challenge - Day 19

Q: Do you own any Resident Evil merchandise besides the games?

A: Yes!

-----

But of course. I own the official guides for Resident Evil 4 and 6, the Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 art books, two posters of Leon Kennedy, and two figurines: one of Leon and one of Chris. I own most of the games in hard copy and each version of them that was released. I also have the Resident Evil novels that were written by S.D. Perry, if those count!

One day, once my collection grows.. I'd like to share pictures of everything I own!

The 30 Day Resident Evil Challenge - Day 13

Q: Were there any parts in the games that made you laugh?

 A: Yes! Plenty.

-----

Let's make a list...

  1. Everything Leon says, for starters. His one liners are classic.
  2. Mostly everything Leon does, also. Such as nearly strangling Ada to death before apologizing, his realization that nobody ever listens to him, telling Claire "it's over" before immediately following up with "it's never over!" and his beyond AWFUL driving abilities.
  3. When Leon rejects Ashley at the end of Resident Evil 4. Owned.
  4. Leon's hair being absolutely fucking fabulous no matter what is going on around him.
  5. Hiding Ashley in trash cans.. where she belongs.
  6. Shooting Ashley for fun when you're tired of her dumb ass.
  7. The fact that Salazar can actually take himself seriously, because LOL.
  8. Wesker taking himself seriously, because LOL.
  9. Saddler's giant tentacle penis.. thing.
  10. The Resident Evil 4 merchant. He is both extremely bad ass and goofy.
  11. Ada being an icy bitch and loving it.
  12. Barry's attempts at being a cool dude, but really, he's just good at bad dad jokes. Gotta love Barry.
  13. Jake asking for an absurd amount of money and then being all, "Nah, I'm good."
  14. Claire's "Claire Sandwich" joke. Oh my god. The. Best.
  15. When Helena actually thought she had a chance with Leon against Ada. HA.
  16. The calling out system while playing cooperatively in Resident Evil 5 and 6. Annoying the absolute shit out of your partner with it is definitely one of the best feelings ever.
  17. Chris' boulder punching shenanigans. That's ridiculous.
  18. Raymond Vester and that STUPID hair.
  19. Unlocking the rocket launcher and then just playing god and blowing everything to smithereens.

-----

The list goes on and I hope that never ever changes.

The 30 Day Resident Evil Challenge - Day 6

Q: Favorite Weapon?

A: Rocket Launcher

-----

The rocket launcher is the most iconic weapon to me, and the one I always associate with the Resident Evil series. Mainly because it is the one weapon that the player always (usually) uses to kill the final boss which makes for a fantastic display of explosions at the game's ending.

If you have the option to be able to unlock it, using it for fun is a great reward. Some of my favorite memories with the Rocket Launcher is from Resident Evil 5, playing co-op with a friend where we both had a rocket launcher strapped to our backs... blowing up everything in site. The amount of times that we shot and killed each other (or ourselves) made for a very fun time.

The 30 Day Resident Evil Challenge - Day 1

Q: Favorite Resident Evil game?

A: Resident Evil 4.

-----

Resident Evil 4 is arguably my favorite game in the Resident Evil franchise. It was the first game in the Resident Evil series that I played. It was also the first "scary" game that I played and also introduced me to the genre of modern day survival horror. To me, Resident Evil 4 plays a huge part into what influenced me to play what it is that I play today.

When I played it as a younger kid, I definitely wasn't any good at it. But I remember being absolutely mesmerized by the game nonetheless. Leon Kennedy was my first real (and also most long standing) big video game crush. It's a game that I find myself able to easily talk about with other people who also share the love of this game.

I'm not going to argue that Resident Evil 4 is the best game in the entire franchise, but to me, it has a special place in my heart and has remained my favorite since it game out over 10 years ago. Even though I think that nostalgia plays a big part in my love of the game, I honestly believe that it would be a game that I would love regardless of if I had played it as a young girl or as an adult.

I always try my very hardest to try and convince others who may not have played Resident Evil or those who may not be sold on this game to give it a try.

The 5 Sexiest Men in Resident Evil

Gun toting, passionate, ass kicking and downright sexy.. I'm talking about the men of the Resident Evil franchise. Throughout it's history, Resident Evil has never failed to deliver some eye candy for the fan girls to enjoy. This is a personal list of my favorite hunks.

#5 - Albert Wesker

Some may disagree with my unusual tastes, but there is something appealing about Albert Wesker. I know that the guy is hellbent on world domination, but hear me out. Under that tight leather outfit and beyond those menacingly piercing eyes must be some sort of human emotion and sensitivity.... right? Well, if not, he at least looks sexy while he dodges your bullets at lightning speed.

#4 - Piers Nivans

Even if Resident Evil 6 hasn't been released yet, I can already tell that this hunk is going to be one of my personal favorites. Although serious and compassionate about his work, I have a feeling that Piers would also do anything for friends, family, or anybody that he cares deeply for (which puts him above Wesker).

Any man who can use guns effectively with honor (who also looks incredibly sexy doing it) is a definite in my book. Fighting alongside Chris Redfield, you have yourself one drop dead sexy duo.

#3 - Luis Sera

I cannot think of another character that sums up "cocky but lovable" better then Luis Sera from Resident Evil 4. His attitude and personality was what made me grow fond of Luis, but his striking good looks are just an added bonus. Luis was a classic charmer, but also proved to be incredibly intelligent, cunning and mysterious before his untimely and tragic death. Luis strikes me as a true gentleman, who would treat a beautiful woman to a night filled with passion and romance. But be careful, as he would easily ensnare you with his overflowing charm.

#2 - Chris Redfield

Even if I don't want to admit it, Chris Redfield is one manly pile of pixels. Although he's not a lumberjack living in the woods killing bears with his bare hands, I still think Chris is one of the manliest men throughout the timeline of Resident Evil. His stubble, hardened expression (don't forget about the rock hard abs) and determined nature make me swoon every time I see him in action.

I respect an older and more mature man, and there is no one more suitable than Chris. I'd love for him to just scoop me up in his massively over sized arms. Did I mention he also punches boulders? MANLY.

#1 - Leon Kennedy

Perhaps one of the sexiest video game characters EVER, describing my fantasy crush on Leon Kennedy is damn near possible. He is one of the most iconic and memorable characters throughout the franchise, and for all the right reasons. It's like taking every guy on this list (except for maybe Wesker) and rolling them into one to create a character that is incredibly well rounded, exhibiting high levels of determination, skill, mystique, compassion, manliness, and sexiness (naturally).

He never fails to come up with some of the most memorable one liners (especially in Resident Evil 4), and also never fails to be one of the only men on this list to get a piece of action from the ladies (several ladies actually).
